It is made with tomato pulp and sun-dried tomatoes, flavoured with basil. A Sicilian recipe.

The sun-dried tomato gives it more body than a plain tomato sauce. Heat it gently and toss it with pasta and a little cooking water. It also works as a base for parmigiana or meatballs.
